Steak with Red Pepper Sauce

Sauce:
1-7 oz. jar roasted red peppers, drained
1 Tbsp. olive oil
4 Tbsps. chopped leeks
2 tsps. balsmaic vinegar

Puree roosted red peppers and chopped leeks in food processor. Add olive oil and balsamic vinegar and process until sauce is smooth. Season in taste with salt and pepper.

Steak:
2 New York strip steaks
1 tsp. thyme
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. rosemary, crumbled
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. basil

Place steaks in a shallow dish. Rub both sides with oil, garlic and herb minture. Season with freshly ground pepper. preheat grill or broiler. Cook steaks approximately 2" from heat source to desired doneness. transfer steaks to plates. Spoon sauce over steaks and serve.
