"Ukulele for Beginners"

For four Saturdays in November, students will learn all the basics necessary to succeed at playing the ukulele, including how to hold and tune the instrument, various strumming patterns, basic chords, how to read tablature, simple music theory of rhythm and scales, and easy songs to play. Each participant will need an instrument. No previous experience or musical knowledge is expected. Ages 12 and up preferred.

Instructor: Marny Pritchard has called Burke County home for over 30 years. She is the owner/instructor of 3M Studio (Ms. Marny’s Music) where she teaches piano, voice, guitar, dulcimer, and ukulele.

• Saturdays in November: November 2, 9, 16, 23
• Arts Council Members: $40. Non-Members: $45
  (Cost covers all four sessions).
